Just want to introduce you to my folks. (This is Mom and Dad, Katrina and three of my sons at a recent visit to their place in NY.)  

Each trip up to see them is more and more important, as our family grows up, and, it seems, each one is harder to arrange. So it was with great pleasure that we made this last trip. The weather was great for traveling: we missed major rain both ways, and the temps were moderate and pleasant for October. 

Dad celebrated his 80th birthday this year: a real milestone. 

As my own baseline grows longer, the differences in our ages becomes proportionately smaller. That great gulf looks more like a crack in the sidewalk. I just have to say this:

• Dad, I want you to know that I love you and Mom very much!

OK, here we go. This may get ugly, but I'm revamping this site, and playing with a lot of stuff at the same time. Please excuse the mess. You can leave a comment on facebook about any post in the detail page, usually reached by clicking on the title of the post.
